# Building Human Formation & Resilient Communities – A New Initiative Connecting Brazil and Portugal

Hello everyone,

My name is Cristiano Pereira Neto, an educator and community leader from Brazil, with over 40 years of experience in human development, leadership formation, and community-based initiatives.

Over the years, my work has been focused on a central question:  
_How can we form people who are capable of sustaining healthy, resilient communities over time?_

I am currently in the process of expanding this work to Portugal through the creation of:

**Instituto Promessa Global Portugal (IPG)**  
– an association focused on human formation, community resilience, and lifelong learning.

## 🌱 What I am building

Alongside the institute, I am developing a pilot initiative called:

**HFRCI – Human Formation & Resilient Communities Initiative**

This project aims to:

- Strengthen personal identity and emotional resilience

- Rebuild relational capacity within communities

- Foster local environments of continuous human formation

- Develop small-scale, community-based “Living Labs”

## 🔗 Why I am here

I joined this network because I see a strong alignment between this work and the principles of a **Wellbeing Economy** :

- putting human development at the center

- strengthening communities from within

- creating sustainable social ecosystems

## 🤝 Looking to connect

I would love to connect with members who are working on:

- Living Labs

- community-based education

- social cohesion and resilience

- wellbeing economy initiatives

Especially those based in Europe or working in cross-cultural contexts.

## 🌍 A bridge between contexts

My intention is also to build bridges between:

🇧🇷 Brazil  
🇵🇹 Portugal  
🇪🇺 European networks

Contributing to a shared learning process across different social realities.

I would be glad to connect and explore possible collaborations.

Hi Cristiano. I’m based in Portugal and would like to learn more about your initiatives - who are they aimed at, what kind of activities do you envisage, etc. I’m an author retired from corporate and higher education work, but in conversations on similar topics. Do you have a link where I can learn more?
