On Wednesday, 4 February, at 09:00 EST, 14:00 GMT, 15:00 CET, 19:30 IST, there will be a ‘watch party’ for the second episode of our podcast series _The Waterfall_ : “The Growth Trap”.

Next Wednesday (4 February), at 09:00 EST, 14:00 GMT, 15:00 CET, 19:30 IST, Kaberi Chatterjee and I will be joined by Mohua Mukherjee for a 1-hour ‘watch party’ of The Growth Trap - the second episode of our new podcast series, _The Waterfall_, in which she was our guest speaker. After a collective screening of the 15-minute episode, we will have a Q&A session with Mohua.

Does more economic growth really make our lives better? In this thought-provoking conversation, we explore why GDP fails as a measure of human wellbeing and what needs to change.

Mohua Mukherjee is a former Energy Team Leader at the World Bank who led its $1 billion solar energy programme for India. In The Growth Trap, she discusses the fundamental flaws of focusing exclusively on economic growth. With over 30 years of global experience in development economics, sustainability, and renewable energy, Mohua offers a rare insider perspective on the clash between historical dogma and planetary realities.
