A question for funders in this community:
Are you imagining a different way to fund the work you care about?
I’m a UX researcher working with the Regenar Development Initiative, an organization in Kampala, Uganda doing on-the-ground work to restore a disappearing wetland by changing how money flows to communities who care for it.
Right now I’m talking to people in foundations, impact investing, and Corporate Social Responsibility who are imagining what a life-centric funding model could look like. I’d like to understand what you’ve seen on the ground: the friction points, the tradeoffs, and what you think could be different.
