Hello folks!
I don’t have any economics background but would like to learn as much as I can about the subject in the context of understanding how a Wellbeing Economy could work or be implemented (I’ve called this Wellbeing Economics, but perhaps there are better terms?).
Does anyone know where or how I could study this subject matter, formally or informally?
I don’t mind whether it’s a university course, a book or a technical scientific paper. I’d just like to explore my options at this stage.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Zoologist- There are a lot of options. I will start with two and if you are looking for something different let me know.
First, you could look at weall’s website or the california hub website. www.weallcalifornia.org
Also, John Fullerton of Capital Institute teaches an online course.
Many other options.
Hi David, thanks for your contribution!
I should explain that I was looking specifically for an introduction to alternative/heterodox/ecological economic theory - ideally something structured, perhaps similarly to a mainstream economics course, except with wellbeing front and center. The resources you mentioned didn’t quite fit the bill for me - however, they did lead me down a rabbit hole that ended with exactly what I was looking for
The group I found is called Rethinking Economics. Today, they launched the Wednesday Econ Club, which is a reading group that introduces and critically examines mainstream economics. I like their tagline: “This isn’t just a reading group—it’s a rebellion.”
