Hi gang - I’ve just been fishing around here for 20-30 minutes to try and see where/how to post, and it may be my settings, but I see only one channel - the discussions page seems to be a single monolithic thread [saw ‘create topics’, but it’s greyed out], and my attempt to create tags failed.
I’ve been involved in lots of online communities over the years, so am frustrated by my inability to navigate effectively when I think I’m reasonably competent. Right now, it feels like a step backwards from the space we had in Slack and I’d love for this space to be working well.
I’m involved in a personal project about networking networks. My interest is in curating intelligence (relating broadly to Wellbeing Economics) and facilitate flows between the people with useful resources and people who need them to have impact.
So I’m really interested in the ways community platforms function and how well they serve their ambitions. I’ll post the suggestion I made by email to Kate Petriw earlier on as a new topic for discussion shortly, but in the meantime, I’d love to join the next call (if appropriate) when you discuss the performance and plans for this site. Fingers Crossed. Mike Z

It sounds like your personal project coincides with my thoughts on identifying global regenerative movements and their potential for presenting a far more powerful collaborative communications front, to penetrate public consciousness. If I’m misreading your project then ignore my thoughts. If not please read on.
So far I’ve identified 67 such movements, and I have attempted to categorise them based on their primary area of focus - e.g. WEALL → regenerative economics. I can’t seem to attach it here, but I can send via email if you are interested. (jeremy@orbissacri.org)
Yes, I am in two communities powered by discourse and it is, well, OK. It is not the most intuitive or broadly capable platform for afinity groups that I have used today, but I am slowly figuring it out.
Thanks Jeremy - have made email contact and just read your Silent Cacophany article and danced around your Orbis analysis a little.
Think you may like this short Happiness Effect animation about drivers of economy and how I think they can be changed. It’s quite old now, but still broadly reflects my current thinking.
What’s changed (for me) is that I’m working in the flow of the ‘natural talents’ which make me the ‘pollinator’ between systems that I am…
