Introduce yourself!

Welcome Fritz! If you are not yet aware of them, I would be happy to connect you to the German WEAll hub - Systems Delta. Regards, Michael

Hi my name is Emma and I’ve been based in Nairobi for almost 15 years (but am in and out of the UK quite frequently). I set up and run a social enterprise called Tiny Totos that supports informal caregivers in urban - and now rural - areas of Kenya, now East Africa (Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania) upskill their services so to earn a decent living from care, help working mothers get to work without worrying about their children all day long, and ensure children receive basic standards of nurturing care. We layer in access to finance, clean technology (cookstoves), peer coaching and incentives, mental health and much more. We have 2,100 care entrepreneurs in our network and 60,000 using our digital care content. Childcare connects women at their most vulnerable time of their lives - community amplifies impact. Glad to be in connected to this group! If anyone else is living or working in East Africa here, please holler.

A very warm welcome, @EmmaC. What amazing work you’re doing on care :sun: . I’m looping @thobile into this thread, who is part of our WEAll Global team and based in South-Africa.
