Hi everyone, I’m a teacher and researcher in Higher Education Institutions, located in Barcelona, Spain. I research on organizational psychology, specifically leadership and employee wellbeing/stress. Currently rolling out a study on “courage” in business (not political) leadership and very curious if the WeALL community would like to participate. Or the Spanish Hub? I’m using WeALL examples in my graduate and undergraduate classes, but we educators are desperate for more positive real-life examples! Philipp
I love it.
You may also want to connect in the the Global Values Alliance. They may be interested too. Happy to connect you if interested
Thank you David, I am interested. Happy to connect!
Tagging some of the WEAll Iberia Hub member @Ana here too ![]()
Thank you @thobile !
@Ana great to e-meet you! Would love to connect with WEAll Iberia Hub and set up a meeting to see how we can energize actions in Spain. Let me know if you’re interested in a talk ![]()
Hello! We (Ruth & Hannah) at Care Full are delighted to be new members of WeAll. We’re a small not for profit based in the UK (Manchester and Margate respectively) working on new economy thinking and care in all its forms. We’re interested in exploring how care shows up in new economy thinking, how we enable those with a relationship to care (which is all of us) to care for ourselves, one another and the planet.
Our latest work is developing care solidarity bringing together care under one universal experience rather than the policy siloes it often has to fit into. You can read it here: Care Solidarity – Care Full
We look forward to collaborating with folk who are working on care, wellbeing, new economy thinking. Do get in touch.
Hello,
I’m Melissa. I’m an environmental engineer who works with sociobioeconomy and innovation.
I’m based in Brasília, Brazil. Happy to join this community.
Hi everyone,
I’m Michael, co-founder of Social Planet, joining from Melbourne, Australia. Really glad to be part of WEAll and looking forward to learning from this community.
Social Planet is a small social enterprise — just two of us — that builds software for Neighbourhood and Community Centres across Australia. We’ve been working alongside these centres since 2017 and currently support over 170 of them in Victoria, NSW and Queensland. We reinvest 50% of our profits into purpose, and we co-design everything we build with the centres themselves.
Our work sits at the intersection of technology, community development, place-based renewal and health prevention. We help centres reduce their administrative burden so their staff can focus on what actually matters — building connection, delivering adult education, supporting volunteers, and being the kind of place where people feel genuinely welcome.
We believe Neighbourhood and Community Centres are underrecognised as Wellbeing Economy infrastructure, and we’re building the evidence base to make that case more compellingly to policymakers.
I’m here to learn, connect and contribute where I can. Particularly keen to connect with anyone working on community-led health prevention, social prescribing, place-based economics or upstream public investment. Would love to hear what others are working on.
Love this so much! Such beautiful work. Thanks for sharing ![]()
Bem-vinda Melissa! ![]()
Incredible! So great having you here Michael! ![]()
Hi Ruth and Hannah, this is a theme we have been following closely, and we work with the Global Alliance for Care Home - Alianza Global por los Cuidados / Global Alliance for Care and in Europe with the Forum for Caring Societies https://hotorcool.org/projects/forum-for-caring-societies/. We have also done a case study on Care Systems in Latin America with a concrete study of the UTOPIAS program in Mexico City. Care systems and wellbeing in Latin America: January 2025 - Google Docs on this last (UTOPIAS), we did a recent blog post: UTOPÍAS: Reimagining Wellbeing in Mexico City’s Neighbourhoods. Turning utopia into everyday reality. : Wellbeing Economy Alliance please reach out should you want to discuss some of this and7or make some connections simon@weall.org
Hello everyone! I’m so happy to be there with all you good humans. I’ve been a wellbeing economy practitioner, advocate, researcher, and field-builder in the US for the last 20 years, starting before I knew to call it a wellbeing economy. I’m also teaching graduate students on the topic as well.
My primary interests are 1. translating these powerful post-growth and wellbeing frameworks into practical, actionable, place-based solutions, particularly in a US context where wellbeing economy and all the related “picnic blanket” concepts are not commonly understood, let alone accepted in dominant society. 2. elevating and amplifying place-based solutions (policy and practice) and their outcomes as a way to make the US movement more visible and tangible, while also highlighting the enabling conditions making those efforts possible and what else is needed to make those efforts more impactful (or, said another way, what’s working, why, and what else is needed to replicate or scale)
I look forward to learning from all of your good work, and sharing what I can to support you in yours.
Anna
Thanks, Simon. I attended your presentation on this at Forum for Caring Societies session a few weeks ago. It’s really interesting, we’re partnered with Citizen Network and others who are exploring the development of Neighbourhoods of Care in South Yorkshire. It’s early days but something to explore and keep an eye on for emerging developments in the UK.
Hello Rachel,
Thank you for sharing your journey — it’s really inspiring to see such a meaningful transition in life.
Your focus on community, simplicity, and creating a more beautiful world deeply resonates with my work in human development and community formation.
Wishing you all the best in this new phase — and I hope we can exchange ideas along the way.
Cristiano
Hello Angela and Jens,
Very interesting perspective — especially the connection between climate action and systemic economic structures.
Your work on linking ecological limits with new economic models really resonates with my current focus on human formation and community-based resilience.
I would be very interested to learn more about your ECO climate-currency model and how it could connect with local community initiatives.
Looking forward to exchanging ideas.
Cristiano
Hi folks! My name is Nikki (ze/zir/zim | they/their/them) and I found out about WEAll quite recently from Kevin Sutton, who I know from the Guelph Spoken Word community.
I’ve just returned to Canada (currently in Montreal, QC) after completing my MSc in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition at UCL in London, UK. Addressing the polycrisis is something we discussed in my degree, but I had been following along with many movements over the years including Decolonisation, Land Back, Disability Justice, Trans Justice, Gay Liberation, Ageism, Black Lives Matter, Free Palestine, Animal Rights, Rights of Nature, Right to Roam and was a trained facilitator in XR while in London. I’ve not held high positions, but I educate myself as I have the capacity to do so, and I show up when I can. I’m also a musician, writer and podcaster, all of which tend to be infused with these values.
After my degree, I spent a year travelling through WorkAway. I spent time in permaculture communities in different countries (Portugal, Ireland, India) and am eager to one day build myself an Earthship, mud house or similarly eco-friendly home (ideally somewhere with significantly less harsh winters than Montreal!).
I like to dance for fun and as an integral part of personal and collective libration. I find embodiment to be a particularly powerful form of liberation as it inspires others immediately on a level that transcends a lot of barriers.
I’m also beginning to take clients for nutritional coaching and take a plant-forward approach. If you, or someone you know, might be interested you can find more info here.
Anna, I hope you have met our @Anna who is more focused on the US and is there currently for an event (although she is actually based in Greece). Hoping you two can connect!
Wow! Welcome Nikki! Great to hear about your journey and your aspirations- especially the “earthship”! Love it! Also completely agree with your perspectives on DANCE! Thanks for sharing a link to your work!
